The ultra lightweight durable fabric allows your sweat to escape so you can stay dry and comfortable during hiking activities. The longer length helps to keep your legs dry when it rains so there is no need for waterproof overtrousers except when the weather is really bad.  The quality wire peaked hood with volume adjustment allows the hood to be tipped back and forth to get the wired peak at the right angle. Two mesh lined, zipped hand pockets, allow cross ventilation. A concealed drawcord waist adjustment enables the waist to be pulled in to prevent draughts going up your back.  A DWR Durable Water Repellant surface finish ensures the surface fabric does not wet out to give excellent breathability in wet conditions when hiking.

  • GORE-TEX Paclite 75D PFCEC Free Polyester ultra lightweight plain weave durable fabric offers high levels of protection and comfort. The outer face is the tough plain weave polyester and laminated to this is the waterproof breathable Gore-Tex membrane layer which is protected from wear on the inside by a series of raised micro-dots.  This gives excellent lightweight performance.
  • Fully taped seams with durable seam tape ensures full waterproof protection.
  • Longer length gives good leg protection to reduce the need for waterproof overtrousers except in extreme weather conditions.

  • The hood features an excellent system for adjusting the elasticated draw cord around the face aperture. A hidden toggle can be held down between finger and thumb whilst the elasticised cord is adjusted, fabric guides prevent the cord from being whipped into your face by the wind.
  • The volume adjuster at the back of your head enables the position of the wired peak to be adjusted.
  • Chin guard with "beardguard" trim (similar to micro-fleece) on the internal storm flap gives excellent comfort on your face. This stops facial hair or skin from being caught in the zip.

Washing Instructions: The outer surface of the fabric has been treated to give a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) as the first barrier to keeping you dry. Clean your garment regularly in order to maintain this:

  • Machine wash in warm water at 30C/86F with Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers equivalent.
  • Alternatively you can hand wash in Dreft.
  • Rinse.
  • Renew the DWR with the appropriate Nikwax or Grangers product if necessary.
  • Drip dry.
  • DO NOT use fabric softeners or bleach.
  • Never dry clean.
  • Cool iron only

  • The garment is easy care and can be washed in a domestic washing machine.

  • The outer surface of the material is treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) surface treatment. This prevents the surface of the material from wetting out when it rains and therefore enables perspiration vapour to escape from the inside even when its raining.

  • The DWR will wear off in time and is best replenished every six months or so when the garment is washed. This can be done using the reproofing products supplied by Nikwax and Grangers.   • If one of your measurements is on the borderline between two sizes, order the smaller size for a tighter fit or the larger size for a looser fit.
  • TOPS: If your measurements for bust and waist correspond to two different suggested sizes, order the size indicated by your bust measurement.
  • BOTTOMS: If your measurements for hips and waist correspond to two different suggested sizes, order the one indicated by your hip measurement.
