• The New Improved two layer Hydro-Dry 150D Polyester Oxford Fabric is waterpoof, windproof and Extra Breathable with an improved Hydrostatic Head of at least 10,000 mm with superb breathability of 15,000 gms/sq metre over 24 hours. 
• This ensures excellent waterproof performance over a prolonged life and superior strength and durability.
• The waterproof, breathable membrane layer is protected by a hard wearing, plain weave polyester on the outer face and a polyester mesh combined with a tough nylon taffeta lining on the inside.
• The outer surface of the material is treated with a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) surface treatment. This helps to prevent the surface of the material from wetting out when it rains and therefore enables perspiration vapour to escape from the inside even when its raining.
• Fully taped seams with durable seam tape ensures full waterproof protection.
• Designed for walking, hiking and trekking, this jacket has a longer back length for extra protection from the elements and the fit allows enough room inside for winter layering.
• Drop tail for extra butt protection at the back.
• Specially designed sleeves for easy movement with minimum hem lift and no seams on top of your shoulders to give excellent comfort when carrying a heavy rucksack.

• Two large zipped side pockets with enough room for an OS map and mesh lining for cross venting.  Also each pocket has a durable nylon taffeta lining at the base for a prolonged pocket life with no holes. Both pocket zips are protected by a storm flap to keep out the rain.

• Full length, two way front zip with double storm flaps to keep out the weather.  One inside the zip and the second on the outside.
• Cuffs have Velcro adjustment tabs to keep out the drafts. These tabs can be used easily when wearing gloves or mitts.
• The bottom hem has an elasticated draw cord front and back. There is a toggle on each side where the elastic can be tightened to keep out the drafts.
• Grown on Hood with wired peak to keep out driving rain.
• The hood features an excellent system for adjusting the elasticated draw cord around the face aperture. A toggle can be held down between finger and thumb whilst the elasticised cord is adjusted, fabric guides prevent the cord from being whipped into your face by the wind.
• The pull cord volume adjuster at the back of your head enables the hood to be "clamped" to your head so when you turn to look around, the hood turns with you to give all round visibility. The volume adjuster also enables the angle of the peak to be adjusted to give the optimum vision / protection from rain combination.
• Chin guard with beardguard trim (similar to micro-fleece) at the top of the internal storm flap gives excellent comfort on your face. This stops your beard or skin from being caught in the zip.

Washing Instructions: The outer surface of the fabric has been treated to give a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) as the first barrier to keeping you dry. Clean your garment regularly in order to maintain this:

• Machine wash in warm water at 30C/86F with Nikwax Tech Wash or Grangers equivalent.
• Alternatively you can hand wash in Dreft.
• Rinse.
• Renew the DWR with the appropriate Nikwax or Grangers product if necessary.
• Drip dry.
• DO NOT use fabric softeners or bleach.
• Never dry clean.
• Cool iron only
