The Sprayway Hydrolite Trousers are excellent, lightweight, packable mens waterproof over-trousers with stretch fabric and a three quarter length waterproof side zip on each leg so the pants can be put on without removing foot wear and without getting mud on the inside of the garment. The Hydro / Dry Flex fabric has two way stretch across the width of the garment to give unrestricted leg movement when negotiating difficult hilly terrain. Similarly the garment features articulated kness and a high lift crotch to further enhance the easy movement characteristics. Around the ankles a velcro tab can be used for adjustment to ensure a close fit over the top of walking boots thereby helping to keep out rain and loose stones. At the top a tough elasticated waist band together with an additional elastic cord with toggle ensure that your trousers stay up. A stuff sac enables the pants to be stored in your pack when not required. Taped seams are used throughout ensuring 100% waterproof performance.

This fabric has a Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish which helps to prevent the surface fabric from wetting out in the rain thus permitting excellent breathability.

Washing Instructions:
  • Before washing, close all zips, undo buttons, check pockets and linings for loose or sharp objects.
  • Turn garment inside out to reduce abrasion so avoiding contamination by fibres from other garments during the washing cycle.
  • Wash at 30 C; you can hand wash with soap such as Dreft or if machine washing please use either Nikwax Tech wash or Grangers equivalent. This protects the Durable Water Repellent (DWR) finish which will be damaged if detergent is used.
  • Drip dry
  • Iron on the coolest setting only

A waterproof stretch fabric made from a blend of tough durable nylon and elastane for stretch. The stretch is two way so the length of the garment is unaffected by tugs and strains, only the width is variable which gives easy movement whilst scrambling across difficult terrain.
This is described as a 2.5 layer fabric. The waterproof and breathable polyurethane layer is protected on the outside by the tough nylon / elastane shell whilst the inside is protected by a black and white print pattern.
The Hydrostatic Head is 5,000 mm meaning that the material will hold back a five metre high column of water. The minimum Breathability is 5000 gms/sq metre/every 24 hours. Meaning that 5 litres of water in the form of vapour will pass through the pours of the garment every 24 hrs.
The outer surface is protected by a DWR Durable Water Repellant coating which causes rainwater to bead up and run off, thereby preventing the surface from wetting out. This aids breathability so your perspiration can escape even when its raining.
